The Brassneck team have produced and presented a wide variety of radio programming, from documentaries to entertainment, from music to sport.
Kelly Cates became the first ever female broadcaster to be given her own show on TalkSPORT in 2006 before leaving the station and presenting for BBC Radio 5 Live on shows such as the Monday Night Club and Fighting Talk.
In 2009, Kelly narrated Brassneck's Hillsborough Stories, a radio documentary to mark the 20th anniversary of Britain's worst-ever sporting disaster. Kelly told the stories of those who witnessed the tragedy first-hand, including bereaved parents, survivors and representatives of Liverpool Football Club. The documentary aired simultaneously on 5 Live and Radio Merseyside.
In the same year Don Letts told the story of how Island Records grew into one of the world's biggest and most exciting independent labels in Island 50, a two-part documentary for Radio 2. He then went on a journey to uncover Notting Hill's musical heritage from The Clash to Lily Allen in The Other Notting Hill for Radio 4. More recently, Don explored the life and times of reggae legend Peter Tosh, also for Radio 4, in Arise Black Man.
Don currently hosts his own twice-weekly Culture Clash Radio show on BBC 6 Music, crossing time, space and genres every weekend.
